Hand-painted oil reproduction of Salvador Dali's Persistence of Memory
Spanish artist, Salvador Dali, (1904-1989) joined the Surrealist movement in 1929 painting canvases filled with images of symbolic complexity executed with superb draughtsmanship and masterful technical expertise. His most famous work in the Surrealist style, Persistence of Memory, continues to delight art lovers even today. He abandoned Surrealism later in his career as he went into his classic period with works characterized by an interest in scientific, religious, or historical themes. The Enchanted Beach With The Three Fluid Graces (1938) and Hallucinogenic Toreador (1970) were done in this period.
